It’s HERE!
Hello, my fellow brides!
This is THE week…. It’s hard to believe, really!
Here at Glendalough Manor, I am used to helping our beautiful brides have the BEST day of their lives.
In just three short days, I (Yes, I) will be that Bride!
~CRAZINESSSSSSSSSS~
Now, if only the weather will cooperate for my Outdoor garden wedding : High 57* Low 27*
(yes, you read that right…)
But at this point, I just want to get married to my honey<3
Now, for the nitty gritty… I have so much to do its embarrassing, esp since I work in the business!!! ahhhh! It will all work out.
And Why’s that?
~~I know my girls at Glendalough will take care of me~~
Our Blog has Moved!

This just in..
Exciting news! One of our Glendalough Girls is engaged as of this weekend! Oh wait….. THAT’S ME!!!!!!!!
It is true, fellow bloggers, I am finally getting married (well, not finalllllly… I just turned the ripe old age of 24, haha)!!! And lucky me, it’s to a truly wonderful man<3
Yesterday I went to Etain Bridal Boutique to start searching for the DRESS:) And I got a verbal beating from my MOH for going by myself… WHOOPS.
For friends who know me, they know there is an imminent theme….. Yes, I am having a theme. I (and my beautiful bridesmaids) will be 1950′s pinups.
I have always l-o-v-e-d anything from the 50′s. So this only feels natural:) haha
You name it, I am probably in love with it. Tea length dress, wiggle dress (aka Marilyn Monroe dresses), 57′ Bel-Air’s (my DREAM car btw), Elvis<3 (sigghhh), white “summer”" gloves, birdcage veils. YUM. Stay tuned for my crazy planning ideas!
Upcoming Trunk Show @ Etain
I don’t know about you, but to me, “statement jewelry” is hot hot hot..

Anemones
Hello anemone… You are my new favorite flower:)
Check out these be-auu-tiful, retro flowers that look amazing when used for a dramatic color scheme (–>think pink & black or yellow & black weddings).
They are the wedding industry’s newest love and are slowly rising for those trendy brides.
Actually, Anemone means “wind” in the Greek language. And it is known as the “Wind Flower” because they thought the wind caused it to bloom. How cute is that??
Ceremony Tosses
Tossing of the rice at the happy new couple is an olldddddd tradition, symbolizing abundance and fertility. There are plenty of new ways to do it and it is something that almost every newlywed couple wants as their departure.
You have probably heard that raw rice grains are harmful to bird, even though some say that’s a complete myth… Even so, rice may not be the best choice for tossing because it can be slippery and difficult and annoying to clean up. Here are some better alternatives:
Hydrangeas
Fill sheer fabric pouches with tiny hydrangea blooms or petals from other seasonal flowers and finish the pouches with a cute little ribbon.
- Try tossing seasonal blooms or their petals. Remove stems from the blossoms, and have bridesmaids carry baskets of them. That way guests can reach in and grab handfuls to toss!
Sparklers
A festive way to close a wedding ceremony is to light sparklers as the bride and groom leave the site.
- These can also be used as favors for the guests at an evening wedding, where they can be given out along with printed matchboxes or matchbooks. Tape a sparkler to the back of each matchbox to keep them from sliding about, and tie with a ribbon.
Bubbles
These small bubble bottles are made specifically for weddings. The bubbles look adorable floating around the bride and groom, both in person and in photographs.

Ahh-mazing hairpieces…
My latest find are these gorgeous ban.do wedding hairpieces. O-M-G, I am in love<3. They are elegant and have this beautttiifullll retro vibe. The beest part is they are moderately priced at around $150.
This would look great by it self during the ceremony or even paired with your veil. BUT, with something this pretty, you don’t even need a veil..
